What We Believe
1. God and His Word
We believe that there is one true God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is sovereign, holy, loving, and worthy of all worship. We believe the Bible is the inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word of God, revealing His character, His will, and His plan of salvation for humanity.
2. Salvation Through Jesus Christ
We believe that all people are sinners in need of salvation and that Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, died on the cross and rose again to reconcile us to God. Salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, believers are forgiven, made new, and called to live lives that reflect Christ.
3. The Church and the Christian Life
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, called to worship God, grow in faith, love one another, and share the gospel with the world. We practice believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper as ordinances commanded by Christ. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today and available to every believer for the building up of the Church and the advancement of God’s kingdom. We believe in living holy lives, persevering in faith, and awaiting the return of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and final judgment.
